U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Friday released the following statement applauding Governor Ned Lamont's broad-based climate Executive Order:
"The climate crisis poses an existential threat to our state, and I'm glad to see Governor Lamont taking these decisive steps toward a greener future. This EO was made possible by the American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These federal dollars I helped secure will help us cut emissions, improve climate resilience, and advance environmental justice. This is great news that will create good-paying jobs and help secure Connecticut's future," said Murphy.
