Cassidy, Scott, Colleagues Introduce National School Choice Week Resolution

U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Tim Scott (R-SC), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), and others introduced a resolution officially marking January 23 through January 29, 2022 as National School Choice Week.

"A child's zip code should not prevent them from receiving a quality education," said Dr. Cassidy. "All families should be able to choose the school that best fits their child's needs. School choice empowers parents and gives them a voice."

"The pandemic has highlighted the challenges many families face when seeking a quality education for their children," said Senator Scott. "The facts are simple: If we want to give children a greater chance in life, we must give parents a greater choice in education. A child's destiny shouldn't be determined by their zip code."
