Reed Announces $90 Billion for Safe Water Infrastructure

Tom Reed is proud to announce that due to the recently passed Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, New York State will receive $90 billion in funding for safe water infrastructure.

"No one should ever have to worry if the water they are drinking is safe and clean. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill secures the needed funding to improve and upgrade our water systems," said Reed. "The safety of our drinking water is essential and thanks to this bill, we are making the necessary investments in infrastructure that will improve the overall health and well-being of our community"

Funding for safe water infrastructure includes:

$14.7 billion for the Environmental Protection Agency's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, which provides grants and loans for infrastructure projects.

$14.7 billion for the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Water State Revolving Fund, which provides loans to states for water-quality improvement.

$55.4 billion in supplemental emergency appropriations.

$10 billion in grants to address emerging contaminants.
