U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement after the Senate passed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.

"Chairman Xi is a genocidal maniac with blood on his hands and too many companies are getting into bed with him. Making money off China's blood cotton is morally reprehensible. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act is a step in the right direction. It's shameful that this legislation was slow-walked by some in the Biden Administration -- but now that it's been passed, the President should sign it immediately."
