Rep. Calvert Praises U.S. Military for ISIS Operation

Statement

Today, Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) issued the following statement on the U.S. military operation that resulted in the death of ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi:

"The elimination of another ISIS leader is welcome news for America, our allies, and everyone who hopes for a more peaceful future. The professionalism, dedication and lethality of U.S. military forces are truly extraordinary. Their robust capabilities should make it crystal clear that there is no safe haven for those who commit violence against our nation and our troops. I have little doubt that another terrorist will soon assume the leadership of ISIS, but I have enduring faith and the utmost confidence that the next leader of ISIS will meet the same fate as his predecessors."
