Congressman Keller Announces USDA Rural Development Funding in PA-12

Today, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) announced the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded two Rural Development grants and a loan guarantee to organizations in Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District.

A grant in the amount of $250,000 will be administered to Grovedale Winery and Vineyard in Bradford County to support sales, marketing, and packaging expenses.

A separate grant in the amount of $248,410 will be administered to Wellwyn Farm in Potter County to support dairy marketing.

Additionally, USDA Rural Development has approved an 11-year loan guarantee of $2,411,000 to Bald Birds Brewing Company in Lycoming County. The funds will be used for job creation and to support the installation of large-scale brewing equipment.

On the awarding of the grants, Congressman Keller made the following statement:

"I am grateful to the USDA for its continued support of our district's agricultural producers and small businesses. These funds will benefit our local economy and create employment opportunities across central and northeastern Pennsylvania."
