Excerpts from the interview:

No matter how they break [the bill] up, it's going to be the same bad recipe for America.

These programs are likely going to go on for generations and our kids are going to pay for them, so we really need to examine what they are going to do.

***

We can get behind making things more affordable for Americans, it's just a matter of how we want to be able to do that.

***

Americans were participating in the labor force in 2019, they were participating in the labor force in 2018 -- why do we think the government now needs to tell parents how to do that.

***

We need to look at affordable energy, we need to look at correcting the supply chain issues that have happened, and also making sure that we're not penalizing workers and putting mandates on employers that get in the way of them doing their jobs.

***

Americans built the greatest economy the world has ever seen before this pandemic, and we were poised to come out of it very, very well. What happened was the Biden administration started doing things that got in the way, and it started on day one.

This morning, Keller joined Fox & Friends First to discuss President Biden's reckless border policies and the purchase of more than 300,000 "Made in China' KN95 masks authorized by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

On the border crisis:

A little over a year ago, we had a secure border. [House Republicans] did what the president and vice president didn't do: we went to the border.

***

If the Biden administration is concerned about humanity, they ought to be concerned that this border is open and that cartels have more control over this border [than we do].

***

We want to know what made [the Biden administration] make these decisions to reverse the Trump policies.

***

On Congress's purchase of Chinese-made face masks:

We have [masks] in the Strategic Stockpile. We have 700 million masks--why couldn't the Speaker buy masks that were made in America?

***

We need to get to the bottom of this. We should not be helping the Chinese Communist Party by buying their items.

On Thursday, Congressman Keller appeared on Newsmax's program, American Agenda, responding to President Biden's remarks during a press conference commemorating the conclusion of his first year in office.

Excerpts from the interview:

[President Biden] was trying to talk about a successful year. Quite frankly, success to me means maintaining energy independence, continuing to secure our southern border, getting people back to work, getting our kids back into school, and making sure the world understands that we're not going to put up with the kind of behavior that we're seeing out of Russia and China.

***

Republicans are for supporting our God-given rights under our Constitution. We're for a strong southern border. We're for funding our military, we're for energy independence. We're for all these things.

***

We're not against the president. The problem is he hasn't included us on any discussion on policy that will move those things forward. Instead, he's been talking about his Build Back Better where he didn't have one Republican in the room to come up with that legislation.

***

The president didn't deliver on his promise of unity and working across the aisle. We told him a year ago that unchecked spending like they were trying to do is going to lead to inflation--and we've seen it happen.

***

The House returns to legislative session on Tuesday, February 1.
