ICYMI: Congressman Keller Publishes New Op-ED: President Biden's Year of Crises

In case you missed it, the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and the Lock Haven Express published an Op-Ed written by Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) highlighting the multitude of crises created by President Joe Biden during his first year in office.

Congressman Keller also outlines the work he is doing to move America forward and deliver solutions to historic inflation, a supply chain crisis, unprecedented surges of illegal aliens across the southern border, skyrocketing energy costs, and the violation of Americans' liberties by big government.

Excerpts from the Op-Ed:

As we observe the one-year anniversary of one-party rule in Washington, I remain focused on delivering solutions to the multitude of crises which this administration has created.

Working families have been forced to reckon with the one-two punch of rising prices and lagging wages, both of which are the consequences of this administration's reckless, big-government spending, job-killing federal mandates, and proposed increased taxes on working families.

Month after month, this sluggish job growth shows the extent to which the president's failed policies have stalled our nation's economic recovery from COVID-19.

I've introduced legislation that would help address both the labor shortage and supply chain crises, by bolstering workforce readiness programs and connecting displaced workers with opportunities in high-demand fields.

On any given day, our communities produce up to 10 percent of the nation's entire supply of dry natural gas--providing family-sustaining wages while also keeping home heating costs low.

President Biden's vaccine mandate flies in the face of our Constitution and violates the most basic freedoms we enjoy as American citizens.

***

I am leading the congressional effort to overturn this mandate under the Congressional Review Act.

When Republicans retake control the House, we will continue tackling these challenges by getting government out of the way, restoring our God-given freedoms, and ensuring Americans keep more of their hard-earned money.

AS WE MARK ONE YEAR SINCE PRESIDENT BIDEN'S INAUGURATION, I AM FOCUSED ON DELIVERING SOLUTIONS TO THE MULTITUDE OF CRISES HIS ADMINISTRATION HAS CREATED.

AFTER ONE YEAR OF ONE PARTY RULE, THE REALITY IS, AMERICAN FAMILIES ARE SEEING EMPTY SHELVES AT THE GROCERY STORE, BUSINESSES CANNOT FIND WORKERS, AND INFLATION JUST HIT THE HIGHEST RATE IN 40 YEARS.

MEANWHILE, THE CATASTROPHE AT OUR SOUTHERN BORDER CONTINUES TO WORSEN. IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, MORE THAN 1.7 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CAUGHT TRYING TO ENTER THE UNITED STATES ILLEGALLY.

THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION CAN IGNORE THESE INCONVENIENT TRUTHS ALL THEY WANT.

BUT DO YOU KNOW WHO IS NOTICING? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

THE SAME PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKING EVERY DAY, THE PEOPLE DRIVING OUR ECONOMY FORWARD

IN SPITE OF PRESIDENT BIDEN STACKING THE ODDS AGAINST THEM.

BE ASSURED, WHEN REPUBLICANS REGAIN THE MAJORITY IN THE HOUSE, WE WILL CONTINUE TACKLING THESE CHALLENGES BY GETTING GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY, RESTORING OUR GOD-GIVEN FREEDOMS, AND ENSURING AMERICANS KEEP MORE OF THEIR HARD-EARNED MONEY.
