Congressman Fred Keller Votes to Fully Fund National Defense

Date: Dec. 7, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) issued the following statement after voting in support of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2022:

"America's men and women in uniform serve our nation and defend our liberties, and it's critical that Congress fully fund our national defense and provide these heroes with the necessary resources to keep themselves, our citizens, and our sovereignty safe.

"We fought hard to include two amendments in this bill that would bolster domestic manufacturing of critical defense materials and hold the Pentagon accountable for how it spends Americans' taxpayer dollars.

"Most importantly, we successfully fought to strip this bill of several poison pills that would have made it a non-starter, including anti-Second Amendment provisions. I will continue to advocate for policies that support our troops, veterans, and constitutional rights."
