As Gas Prices Soar in Iowa, Hinson Calls for All of the Above Energy Agenda that Prioritizes Biofuels

In response to gas prices continuing to rise in Iowa and across the country, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) called for Congress and the Administration to implement an all-of-the-above energy strategy that prioritizes Iowa's biofuel industry. Gas prices have increased by six cents per gallon in Iowa over just the past week, a 2% increase.

"Iowans are feeling the pinch at the pump--gas prices in Iowa spiked six cents per gallon in the last week alone. The Biden Administration is willfully ignoring solutions to the energy crisis and sidelining domestic resources, including biofuels, as working families are struggling to fill up their gas tanks and pay their bills. Allowing the sale of E-15 year-round and encouraging more blending of biofuels in our transportation fuel would immediately bring down gas prices--and Iowa's biofuel producers stand ready to deliver that solution. The Biden Administration should work with Congress to pass these commonsense bills and implement an all-of-the-above energy strategy that utilizes biofuels to bring down gas prices today." -Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
