Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement on the passing of North Dakota legislator George Keiser.

"Representative Keiser served our state and nation in many ways -- as a state legislator for 28 years, a city commissioner, a member of the U.S. Army and a successful businessman. Through these roles, he worked to build up his community and secure a more prosperous future for North Dakotans. He will be remembered well by both his constituents and his colleagues. Mikey and I send our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones."
