Congressman Schiff on Passage of Continuing Resolution

Statement

Date: Dec. 2, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

"Today, the House acted to avert a calamitous and needless government shutdown. This continuing resolution will guarantee that we make good on our promises to struggling workers, families, veterans, and seniors. And it will allow this Congress to remain wholly focused on passing critical legislation like the Build Back Better Act which will cut costs for child care and health care and benefit every single family in America.

"I urge the Senate to swiftly pass this legislation so we can continue to work toward a long-term funding agreement to ensure the American people can have confidence that their government remains ready, willing, and able to work on their behalf."
