Today, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) announced that Virginia will receive $1,348,139,636 in new federal funding under the bipartisan infrastructure law to create good-paying jobs for Virginians improving roads and bridges across the state. This is the first round of funding under the five years of federal investment in Virginia highways authorized by this new law.

"Our bipartisan infrastructure law delivers a historic investment to rebuild our region's roads and bridges, making commutes easier for Virginia families and creating good-paying jobs," said Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton. "Virginians have waited years for much-needed federal funding to repair our aging roads, improve traffic conditions, and keep drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians safe. I'm proud that Congress has delivered in a bipartisan way and that we'll soon begin to see the results of this major achievement."
