McEachin Statement on Lowest Job Claims in Half Century

Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) issued the following statement addressing the lowest jobless claims in half a century:

"Our nation's economy is on the rebound, recovering in a way that benefits Americans and strengthens families' finances," said Rep. McEachin (VA-04). "New weekly jobless claims show the lowest levels since 1969 and well below pre-pandemic levels. ​These rates follow several strong months of job growth, demonstrating that Americans are back to work, able to support their families, and help grow our economy. Thanks to President Biden's strong and able leadership and the crucial legislation passed by the Democrats in Congress, we are well on our way to a long-term period of strong economic improvement for the foreseeable future.

"I am pleased to see these promising concrete results. This is further evidence that the efforts by the Biden Administration and Congress to revitalize our economy are working.
