Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32), yesterday voted for the National Defense Authorization Act of 2021 (NDAA) which authorizes funding for the United States Military's operations, programs and personnel. The bill authorizes funds for military construction projects at bases across Texas.

"Making sure our troops and military operations have the resources they need to keep North Texans safe will always be a priority of mine," said Allred. "I was proud to join my colleagues from both sides of the aisle in voting to pass this legislation and look forward to it becoming law. In addition to taking steps to improve the quality of life for our military families including increasing allowable parental leave and giving service members a raise, I am pleased we were able to come together to continue supporting the relocation of Afghan SIV applicants."
