Congressman Bucshon Statement on Virginia Gubernatorial Election

Statement

Date: Nov. 3, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Larry Bucshon M.D. (R-Ind.-08) issued the following statement on Virginia's Gubernatorial election where the first Republican was elected since 2009. Since 2013, Virginia has had a Democrat as Governor and since 2008 has voted in favor of the Democratic Presidential Candidate.

"Virginia's election results clearly show that the American people are disillusioned with Democrat policies that are doing nothing but growing big government's control over the lives and livelihoods of Main Street Americans. Since President Biden took office, his policies have left Americans facing skyrocketing prices for everyday goods, our southern border in crisis, and a future so uncertain that the Biden Administration has suggested the appropriate response is for Americans to simply lower their expectations. What the American people want are common sense solutions from their elected representatives that address the concerns of hard-working American families on Main Street, not the concerns of progressive elites in Washington," said Congressman Bucshon.
