Rep. Deutch Celebrates Signing of Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill into Law

Statement

Today, U.S. Representative Ted Deutch (FL-22), a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, issued this statement following President Biden's historic signing of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act:

"I am proud to have voted for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, along with colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and I am thrilled that President Biden signed it into law today.

"These groundbreaking infrastructure investments are a win for every American. They are a win for American families, who will benefit from good-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced; for American businesses, who will see lower costs and greener supply chains; and for American leadership, as we pave a path toward greater economic growth and competition in the 21st century.

"With the passage of this bill, we are investing not only in modernizing our infrastructure--in bolstering our crumbling roads, bridges, and airports, expanding broadband access, and replacing dangerous lead pipes--but also in tackling the most urgent crisis of our lifetime: climate change. These infrastructure investments will grow our renewable energy capacity, reduce pollution, and increase our infrastructure's resilience to superstorms and other devastating impacts of climate change. They will save our families, cities, and states billions in repair costs while working to leave a cleaner, safer planet for the next generation.
