Today, Congressman David G. Valadao released the following statement:

"Our nation simply cannot afford to keep spending money that we do not have. Americans are experiencing record high inflation, the cost of housing is rising, grocery bills are historically high, and gas is unaffordable. The Build Back Better Act will not only hurt our economy by drastically increasing our already record-high inflation rates, it will also cripple generations to come by passing on more debt to future Americans. The cost of this legislation will ultimately be paid for by hardworking, middle-class families already struggling amid a global pandemic. It would be irresponsible to vote in favor of this out-of-control money grab, which is why I could not support this bill," said Congressman Valadao.
