Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) released the following statement regarding President Biden's vaccine mandate issued in separate rules from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services this morning.

"President Biden's vaccine mandate does nothing to promote public health and will only serve to erode the public trust in the safe and effective vaccines developed through President Trump's Operation Warp Speed. Weaponizing this burdensome regulation and imposing these punitive fines will only harm businesses that are struggling. A person's decision to whether or not to become vaccinated should be made after consulting with their doctor or their trusted health care provider, not their shift supervisor."
