Dr. Joyce: "passing the Green New Deal, Dressed Up as Infrastructure Legislation Is Not the Answer to the Problems We Face."

Today, Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) highlighted the fatal flaws in Democrats' Infrastructure and Reconciliation packages that would make them unworkable for Pennsylvania families.

In a press conference led by Congressman Byron Donalds (FL-19) and Whip Steve Scalise (LA-01), Congressman Joyce called attention to the burdensome taxes that American energy providers would face at a time when costs are already soaring for consumers.

"We need to focus on regaining American energy independence. We need to focus on lowering energy costs before winter. This inflation is NOT transitory, we CANNOT wish this problem away," said Dr. Joyce. "Passing the green new deal, dressed up as infrastructure legislation is not the answer to the problems we face."

Today's press conference provided an opportunity for Republicans to discuss the troubling tax provisions that are included in the Reconciliation package being introduced by Democrats in Congress.
