Rep. Titus Votes to Pass Women's Health Protection Act, Codify Roe V. Wade Protections into Law

Washington, D.C. -- Today Representative Dina Titus of Nevada's First Congressional District voted to pass H.R. 3755, the Women's Health Protection Act, legislation she cosponsored to defend women's constitutional right to reproductive health care.

Amid dangerous assaults on women's basic health freedoms -- including Texas's SB 8 law, state houses across the country, and the U.S. Supreme Court -- the Women's Health Protection Act is landmark legislation that enshrines into law the vital protections of Roe v. Wade and secures the right to reproductive care for all women across America.

"This year is on track to be the worst year for Republican legislative attacks on women's health rights since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973. As of July, 90 reproductive health restrictions have been enacted in Republican states. These attacks especially harm people who already face barriers to health care access," said Congresswoman Dina Titus. "Today Democrats in the House passed the Women's Health Protection Act, legislation I cosponsored which codifies the constitutional right to an abortion found in Roe v. Wade. I'll continue to fight attacks on reproductive health care."
