Congressman Billy Long made the following statement regarding Attorney General Merrick Garland's directive instructing the Department of Justice to target parents.

"Critical Race Theory should not be taught in schools. Period. It's no wonder protests against this radical far-left theory have sprung up across the United States and rightfully so. The Attorney General fails to cite a single threat against school officials in his directive. This is the Biden Administration using the Department of Justice and the FBI to scare and silence parents who don't want their kids to be taught this leftist garbage. These parents have a right to be heard and to protest what their kids are taught in school. Like any elected official, school board members need to answer for their actions. Impassioned parents should not be treated like domestic terrorists," said Congressman Long.
