OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Senator James Lankford (R-OK) issued the following statement today ahead of joining thousands of Oklahomans at the Run to Remember in Oklahoma City to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building:

"It is always moving to see thousands of athletes and their families remembering what happened that day in April 1995 but also living in the great state that rose out of the ashes of domestic terrorism. We must never forget those we lost and those who were impacted by that fateful day, and we must never forget the first responders who ran toward the building and carried our friends, neighbors, and family members out of the chaos to care for them. I am never more proud to be an Oklahoman than when we stand together and show the nation our Oklahoma Standard."
