Chairs Maloney and Raskin Issue Statement on Cyber Ninjas "Audit" Report

Statement

Date: Sept. 24, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

Washington, D.C. (September 24, 2021)-- Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, the Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Rep. Jamie Raskin, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, issued the following statement after Cyber Ninjas released its "audit" report regarding the election results in Maricopa County, Arizona.

"After wasting millions of dollars and stoking baseless claims of a stolen election, the partisan Arizona "audit' found "no reliable evidence' of the voter fraud its partisan backers had alleged. Instead, the company was forced to concede what local election officials and nonpartisan election experts have been saying for months: Joe Biden won more votes than Donald Trump in Maricopa County."

"It's long past time for former President Trump and his enablers to give up the Big Lie and finally acknowledge that the 2020 presidential election was fair and secure--and that Donald Trump lost."

"Even though the Arizona report conceded there was no fraud found, it appears to be riddled with unsupported and erroneous claims designed to sow more confusion about the 2020 election and encourage voter suppression efforts around the country. The need for vigorous congressional oversight is clear, and our Committee intends to get to the bottom of these issues at our October 7 hearing."

Yesterday, Chairs Maloney and Raskin invited Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan to testify at a full Committee hearing on October 7, 2021. The invitation letter requests that Mr. Logan inform the Committee of whether he intends to appear at this hearing voluntarily by September 30, 2021.
