McHenry Votes to Support Our Troops & Hold Biden Accountable for Afghanistan Failures

Statement

Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on House passage of H.R. 4350, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022:

"Today's vote helps fulfill the House's responsibility to support our troops and provide for a strong national defense. The NDAA includes a well-deserved pay raise for the brave men and women of the U.S. military and reverses President Biden's reckless cuts to our national security that would have hindered their ability to defend our nation at a moment's notice.

"In addition to these important measures, this year's NDAA also includes over twenty provisions to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, limits the ability of the Biden Administration to lift sanctions on Iran, and provides resources for our efforts to counter the growing threat of China. I will always work to ensure our military men and women have the resources they need and today's bipartisan vote helps achieve that goal."
