House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement after President Biden demonized Border Patrol agents:

"Instead of addressing the crisis at the border he created and actively encourages, President Biden is blindly joining in the radical left's rush to judgment and attacking the men and women tasked with protecting our borders.

"Our Border Patrol agents are committed to fulfilling their duty as law enforcement officers. Even as they are overworked and overwhelmed because of the impossible situation the Biden-Harris administration has put them in, every day they put themselves in harm's way to protect our nation and secure our borders-- all while conducting themselves with professionalism and honor.

"President Biden must own up to the crisis he created, fix the problem, and deploy the full National Guard to support our Border Patrol agents. If President Biden is interested in accountability, he should start by looking in the mirror."
