Washington, D.C. -- Today, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09) released the following statement after the House passed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021.

"The right to vote is our most sacred - and most important - civic responsibility. The John Lewis Voting Rights Act ensures that all Americans, regardless of party or background, have free, equal, and fair access to the ballot box, and have a say in their government. Today is a good day for justice, and a good day for the American tradition of choosing our political leaders."
