Rep. Long Applauds the Supreme Court's Reinstatement of President Trump's "Remain in Mexico' Policy

Congressman Long issued the following statement after the Supreme Court upheld a court order requiring the Biden Administration to reinstate the "Remain in Mexico' policy championed during the Trump Administration:

"Today's ruling only further highlights how the Biden Administration is incapable of creating coherent immigration policies," Congressman Long said. "President Trump's "Remain in Mexico' policy worked because it required asylum seekers at the southern border to stay in Mexico while they awaited a hearing to determine if they were eligible to enter the country. Biden's open-door immigration policy has led to record high border crossings this year, while his VP who he left in charge of solving the crisis is nowhere to be found. Thankfully, the Supreme Court reinstated a common-sense solution to help address the number of illegal immigrants seeking asylum in the US."
