NEW YORK, NY - Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement in recognition of the upcoming Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah:

"As our Jewish community celebrates the start of the High Holy Days, beginning with the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, we reflect on the hardships, achievements, special occasions and moments of happiness that this past year and a half has brought us. We recall the challenges and adversities that our country and the Jewish community have been through, and we are grateful for the strength, unity and togetherness that continue to keep our community strong.

"Rosh Hashanah is a time to look forward, to define our new year resolutions with a positive attitude and start contributing to a better future. It is time to build a stronger and more united community to face the challenges that are yet to come together with passion and love, while we celebrate the lives we are fortunate enough to live.
