U.S. Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) released the following statement on the passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka:

"Our country lost a great leader today. Richard Trumka was an unsurpassed titan of labor, the voice for millions of hard-working Americans and their families. I am deeply saddened and mourn for his family and all he fought so magnificently for and represented with integrity."
