Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) released the following statement on Speaker Pelosi's abuse of power regarding the Select Committee on January 6th.

"Jim Banks and Jim Jordan have every right to serve on any committee Leader McCarthy appoints them to. Whenever Speaker Pelosi uses the word "unprecedented", it is code for her consolidation of absolute power. She is willing to do anything and everything to maintain control over her conference for the next 18 months. In the process she is going to permanently and negatively change the way this body functions forever. Metal detectors, proxy voting, glass boxes in the gallery to ensure her election as Speaker. This isn't about the truth. It's not even about the last election or the next one. This is about her maintaining an iron grip on her conference and the People's House. When we win the majority back in 2022, she will not be around to witness the consequences of her draconian actions."
