Inhofe Statement on Tonight's Procedural Vote

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), senior member of the Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) made the following statement after voting against a procedural motion to consider infrastructure legislation:

"As the author of the last two major infrastructure bills that were signed into law, I'm disappointed in how this bill was put together outside of the committee process and without the opportunity for me to ensure all Oklahoma priorities were included.

"I've always said there are two main things we should be doing here: national defense and infrastructure. That's what the Constitution says, so I still want to get to a yes vote if possible."
