Rep. Clyde appointed to the American Security Task Force

Press Release

Date: July 29, 2021
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Infrastructure

Rep. Andrew Clyde (GA-09) issued the following statement on his appointment to the American Security Task Force:

I was honored to learn of my appointment by Leader McCarthy to the American Security Task Force chaired by my colleague and Homeland Security Ranking Member John Katko. If we have learned anything over the past five months, it is that President Biden simply refuses to place our national security as his top priority. From failing to secure our overrun southwestern border to handing Russia a list of our nation's most critical infrastructure installations directly following repeated cyberattacks on Internet security assets and energy infrastructure, the Biden Administration continues to fail the American People. I look forward to working with my Republican colleagues to prioritize our national security apparatus by safeguarding our border, critical infrastructure, and supporting our brave law enforcement officers through the development of policy proposals that our conference can enact on day one when we retake the House that will put the nation and the American People's security first.
