Democrats' Efforts to Intimidate Forensic Audit are Disgusting

PRESCOTT, AZ -- Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Rep. Jamie Raskin, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, announcing they intend to launch a frivolous investigation into the election audit in Maricopa County, Arizona.

"Today's announcement by these two partisan Democrats is yet another attempt to blatantly obstruct and discredit those involved in the important forensic audit process taking place in Maricopa County and it is nothing short of disgusting.

It is obvious that Democrats are panicked and will do absolutely anything to interfere with the process and attempt to destroy anyone involved in standing up for election integrity and voter confidence.

My question to Chairwoman Maloney and Chairman Raskin is what are you so worried about? If the results of the 2020 election in Arizona were so flawless, why meddle with the audit? All Arizonans are asking for is a transparent and thorough investigation to prove to voters in my great state that their votes were fairly counted.

But that is too much to ask, according to Democrats. Today's announcement is baseless and amounts to nothing more than intimidation," concluded Congressman Gosar.
