Washington, D.C. - On Thursday, June 24th, the Biden Administration released a bipartisan infrastructure framework to invest in American infrastructure and jumpstart the U.S. economy. This framework sets up the largest long-term investment in our infrastructure in almost a century, without raising taxes on earners making less than $400,000 a year.

"I strongly support President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework and my support is unconditional," said Congressman Vela. "This country just experienced four years of Presidential bullying that fundamentally shattered the idea that Democrats and Republicans can work together. The bipartisan package should not only be passed but it should be passed right away. Americans deserve to know that their representatives in Washington will work together to deliver on the country's very basic infrastructural needs."

The $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure framework includes:

$55 billion for clean drinking water and wastewater infrastructure
$65 billion for broadband
$25 billion for our airports
$16 billion for ports and waterways
$109 billion for roads, bridges, major projects
$49 billion for public transit
