Legislation includes funding for Surface Transportation Projects in 7th Congressional District Submitted by Rep. Danny K. Davis

As the American Rescue Plan contributes to rebuilding our economy and getting Americans back to work, House Democrats are advancing key priorities to rebuild our national infrastructure and create good-paying jobs for American workers -- an agenda that a majority of Americans agree with. This week the House passed H.R. 3684, the INVEST in America Act, which will reauthorize surface transportation programs that are set to expire in September. This bill will modernize our nation's roads, bridges, rail, and transit, creating good jobs and driving economic opportunity for American workers. The INVEST in America Act also contains crucial provisions for our water infrastructure, including safe drinking water measures and wastewater infrastructure needs.
