On June 17th, 2021, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his bipartisanship and leadership with the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship and the Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award. Members of Congress who demonstrate the constructive governing and bipartisan leadership necessary to move our nation forward are presented with these awards.

"I'm proud to be one of the few members of Congress to receive both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award and the Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship," said Rep. Fitzpatrick. "Our country needs bipartisan leadership now more than ever. Americans are counting on it."

"These awards recognize members of Congress based on their co-sponsorship of legislation important to the business community and who demonstrated a commitment to forging bipartisan solutions that move our nation and economy forward," said U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Suzanne Clark. "The Chamber appreciates Rep. Fitzpatrick's support of policies that create jobs and support economic growth as well as his willingness to work across the aisle."

The Jefferson-Hamilton Award is presented to the top Senators and Representatives from each party, based on the number of bills -- except those formally opposed by the Chamber -- a Member cosponsors introduced by a Member of the opposite party. The Members are ranked to determine the award winners, and Rep. Fitzpatrick was one of three Congressmen who earned a perfect score of 100%.

The Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award recognizes Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle based on their cosponsorship of legislation important to the business community during this pivotal moment for our country. This prestigious recognition is presented to the top Senators and Representatives from both parties. Rep. Fitzpatrick earned a high score of 98% for this award.
