Rep. Fischbach Announces Federal Grant for Thief River Falls Regional Airport

Today, Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) announced a $5.2 million federal grant for the Thief River Falls Regional Airport. The grant, which is funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation, is part of the airport's Capital Improvement Program. The funds will be used to install runway incursion lighting, reconstruct apron, runway, and taxiway lighting, and improve airfield signage.

"This grant will allow the Thief River Falls Airport Authority to move forward with needed improvements and additions to the city's airport. With thousands of passengers and over a million packages moving through the airport's facilities each year, it is a critical transportation hub for the region," said Congresswoman Fischbach. "A modern, accessible airport is key for connecting local industry to the global market and attracting economic development."
