Washington, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Filemon Vela (TX-34) announced the introduction of four pieces of tax legislation meant to reduce taxpayer burdens and enhance taxpayer protections. The bills were unveiled ahead of the State of Texas' deadline to file a federal tax return by June 15th.

"I am proud to introduce this package of critical legislation to ensure every tax-paying family is served by a flexible, trustworthy tax system," said Vela. Together, these bills provide a series of reforms and protections so that Texans, and all Americans, can file their taxes with peace of mind."
