Congressman Applauds Key Advancements in Gateway Program

Today, Congressman Albio Sires (D-NJ) released the following statement after the Biden administration released the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Hudson Tunnel Project, a crucial part of the Gateway Program:

"Yesterday, I spoke with Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary Trottenberg, who informed me that the Biden administration has released the EIS for the Hudson Tunnel Project, putting this critical part of the Gateway Program on the path to completion after years of delay by the previous administration.

"Completion of the Gateway Program will improve commerce in New Jersey and nationwide, as well as create good jobs and protect public safety. I want to thank the Biden administration for working with me on these critical infrastructure improvements that are vital to New Jersey's 8th District. It's time we get this done."
