President Biden and his party's open border policies are encouraging a surge of migrants at our southern border and creating a crisis for our nation in the process.

In January alone, 80,000 migrants crossed the border, which is double from last year. More than 5,700 unaccompanied minors were apprehended at the border in January, the highest total for that month in recent years. By late February, the number of minors in custody had risen to 7,000.

To make matters worse, DHS is currently projecting that there will be 117,000 unaccompanied children illegally crossing the border this year. That is a record number.

But despite all of this, the Biden Administration continues to deny the reality that we have a crisis at the border. Instead, they have repeatedly called it a "challenge." Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas even said recently, "We are not saying don't come, we are saying don't come now."

Actions have consequences and these are the consequences of President Biden's policies. He single-handedly created this problem when he removed former President Trump's border protections and stopped border wall construction on his very first days in office.

It's time to call a crisis a crisis and take action to address it. We cannot let this crisis continue to worsen and we must act now secure our southern border.
