Harder Encourages Families to Apply for Rental Assistance before Eviction Protections End

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) is encouraging Central Valley families to apply for rental and utility assistance before the federal eviction moratorium ends at the end of June. According to recent reporting, only 10% of the total rental assistance money allotted to California has actually been sent to families in need. Applications have totaled only 30% of all available funds. Earlier this year, Rep. Harder announced that $30 million would be available for those struggling to pay their rent.

"Help is out there right now, and I'm encouraging every Central Valley family in need to apply before it's too late," said Rep. Harder. "Even one family evicted from their home is one too many. It's time we get the help we passed through Congress months ago out to our community."
