Rep. Fischbach Announces Federal Grant for Morris Airport

Today, Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) announced a $5,475,000 federal grant for the Morris Municipal Airport -- Charlie Schmidt Field. The grant, which is funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation, is part of the airport's multi-year runway improvement project.

"This grant will allow the City of Morris to move forward with needed improvements to Charlie Schmidt Field, including a full runway reconstruction and taxiway extension. These improvements are important for improving safety and enhancing the airport's services," said Congresswoman Fischbach. "A modern, accessible airport is key for connecting local industry to the global market and attracting economic development."
