Today Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to Russian military activity on the Ukrainian border and in occupied Crimea:

"In the face of Vladimir Putin's latest acts of aggression, there must be no doubt that we will maintain our steadfast commitment to Ukraine as well as our NATO allies, and reaffirm that any negotiations or summits with Russia will only be in the furtherance of those security partnerships and our efforts toward global security. I'm glad that President Biden conveyed our nation's concerns to the Russian government earlier today in an effort to deescalate tensions while making clear that though the Russian forces on the move must stand down, our commitment to the security of our regional partners never will."
