Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Taxes

Today U.S. Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) along with 32 other bipartisan members of the House established the SALT Caucus to advocate for a repeal of the cap placed on the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction which passed in the 2017 Republican tax cut legislation.

"My Congressional District is number one in the nation for state and local tax deductibility because we live in a region with a high cost of living. Nearly 200,000 households in my district claimed the SALT deduction prior to the cap, with an average deduction of $63,000," said Rep. Eshoo. "I'm proud to have voted to repeal the SALT cap in the previous Congress, and I will continue doing everything I can to ensure a repeal is included in President Biden's Made in America Tax Plan."
