Today, Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) submitted an amendment to H.R. 51 to remove many of the District of Columbia's gun control measures.

Rep. Budd said in a statement:

"Washington, D.C. has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. My amendment changes those unjust laws to ensure that our nation's capital welcomes law-abiding gun owners."
