Costa Votes to Secure Equal Pay for Women, Help Close Gender Wage Gap

Congressman Jim Costa (CA-16) released the following statement after voting for H.R. 7, the Paycheck Fairness Act. This legislation will help close the gender wage gap by strengthening equal pay protections for women and create more effective remedies for women who are not receiving equal pay for equal work:

"It's not fair that women do not receive equal pay for equal work," said Costa. "This bill modernizes and strengthens pay protections so we can unleash the full power of women in the workforce."
