Franklin Tapped to Serve on House Armed Services Committee

Statement

Today, U.S. Representative Scott Franklin (R-FL) announced that he has been tapped to serve as a member of the House Armed Services Committee. Franklin served in the United States Navy as a pilot for 26 years (14 active duty, 12 reserves) and retired as Commander. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Air Command & Staff College. He also flew combat operations in the Gulf War, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

FL-15 is adjacent to MacDill Air Force Base, home to U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, and the 6th Air Refueling Wing. Florida is also home to 92,249 active duty military members.
