Today, U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan issued the following statement in response to President Biden's plan to withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021.
"In light of this decision, President Biden, Secretary Blinken and Secretary Austin must explain to Congress how they plan to protect the American people at home and abroad from terrorist threats that may arise in the wake of our departure," said Houlahan. "I know I speak for so many military families when I say we want our servicemembers safely home. I look forward to hearing from the Administration and working alongside my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to get this right."
