Statement

Date: March 23, 2021
Location: Washington, DC

NC-11 Congressional Representative Madison Cawthorn dropped the Better Businesses for Tomorrow Act on the House floor today. In an official statement, Representative Cawthorn emphasized the role of government in reopening the American economy.

"Today I introduced the Better Businesses for Tomorrow Act. This bill empowers small businesses, impacted by government mandated shutdowns, by providing a payroll tax credit for businesses that provide COVID training to their employees. Small businesses should not have to foot the bill to reopen safely. The federal government shut down our economy, the federal government ought to foot the bill to help reopen the economy."
